City of Stonnington – Better Business, Better Access
The Problem
When launching a new program aimed at ensuring accessibility for all across Stonnington’s wide variety of businesses, the Better Business, Better Access Guide, City of Stonnington required content that would both summarise the content for the general public – and encourage local businesses and community members to pick up one of the Better Business, Better Access guides distributed around the municipality.
The Solution
We worked with Stonnington to incorporate footage shot on location with premium licensed footage and dynamic text to create video content that supported and amplified the Better Business, Better Access guide. In order to maximise the amount of Stonnington residents (both business and community), we created a small campaign with social media cutdowns targeted towards the platforms where the City of Stonnington has the most interaction with its audience. Whilst a lot of this content served more of a ‘teaser’ role than the primary video, it allowed residents to commit to a 30 second video and seek further information from the longer video if desired, rather than offering only a two-minute video, which may discourage some members of the community.
Plus, in addition to its role as a public service announcement, interviews with the Mayor summarising the program allow for this content to serve as clarification of Council’s position on accessbility and serve a greater conversation about awareness around these issues.
